"It's a very strange feeling, celebrating 20 years ago, with one week to go until we crown a new Miss SA being a decade x2. It seems more poignant than ever to give a token of appreciation: I've lived, I've loved, I've lost," she wrote. Sharing a clip of the moments she had while on stage during the pageant competition, she spoke to her younger self.

"Today, if I could give that young Claudia advice, I would tell her that the night you were crowned, life would change in ways you could not even understand. I would tell her that no matter what lies before you, you are bold, courageous, and strong. Claudia, your biggest attribute is LOVE, so I do what I would have told my 21-year-old self.

" Henkel expressed her desire to love and give love, as it is ultimately what everyone desires to experience. "My babies, my fiancé, my family, my friends, my fellow Miss SA's, my followers..

.I love you," she added. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Claudia Henkel (@claudiahenkelza) The former Miss South Africa is getting ready to walk down the aisle with her fiancé.
