LIDL Ireland fans are set to love new trainers in two colours for autumn - and they're a bargain. The Ladies' Trainers will be available in stores from September 23. And there are two different options for fashion fans to choose from.

The first pair are brown and white with laces and the second choice are beige and white with a zip along the side. The shoes come in sizes 4-7.5, have a textile lining for comfort and a removable sole.

Lidl said the trainers are made using "eco-friendly leather". Meanwhile, shoppers are also set to love a new bargain gilet hitting stores next Monday. The Ladies' Padded Longline Gilet is ideal for autumn.

It will be stocked in black, khaki and cream. The gilet is priced at €14.99 but you can snap it up for €11.

99 if you have the Lidl app. The retailer said the product is water repellent and has a hood with fleece lining. Fashion fans can bag the gilets in sizes XS to XL.

And Aldi have dropped a selection of beauty dupes and will save shoppers hundreds of euro. The new items make the perfect dupes for Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez, Charlotte Tilbury and Jo Malone. The Tinted Lip Oils are made with Jojoba Seed and Sunflower Seed Oil and claim to be nourishing on the lips.

And just like Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Oil, which costs €22, Aldi’s lip product has multitasking oils that work hard to hydrate and nourish lips for a visibly soft but plump finish. Aldi's Lacura Stay Illuminated Highlighter makes the perfect Charlotte Tilbury dupe. The Aldi highlighter dupe, available in rose and champagne, costs only €4.

99. But the luxury brand Charlotte Tilbury mini Hollywood Flawless Filter will set you back €19. Its description reads: “Look and feel your best with this Lacura Stay Illuminated Highlighter.

“It's a silky-smooth liquid highlighter that's useful for multiple applications. Add a soft and illuminated finish to your next look that you'll love.” LIDL first opened in Germany in 1973.

Back then, it employed just three people, stocking 500 product lines. The first Irish store, located just off Molesworth Street in Dublin, was opened in 1999. This was Lidl's first entry into the Irish grocery market.

Then, Lidl opened more stores in 2000, in Limerick, Letterkenny, Mullingar, Athlone, Cavan, Ballinasloe and Portlaoise. Now, the retailer has over 180 stores and three distribution centres, employing over 6,000 people. They work with a network of more than 260 Irish suppliers from the communities they operate in.
