Monrovia – BeeVonne, with support from title sponsor LonestarCell MTN, successfully hosted the inaugural Creators X Summit, a cross-border dialogue on music and content creation named “LonestarCell MTN Creators X Summit.” By: Francis G. Boayue Held on August 8, 2024, at A’ La Lagune Resort, the summit aimed to unite creatives, ignite their passions, and inspire them to pursue their craft.

The event was a first-of-its-kind in Liberia bringing together leading figures from Nigeria and Liberia, focusing on the rapidly expanding industries of music and content creation. Platforms like BeeVonne Recordz powered the summit, which aimed to unite creatives, ignite their passions, and inspire them to continue pursuing their craft. It provided a dynamic space for knowledge exchange, networking, and inspiration, bringing together industry veterans and emerging talents alike.



Amongst the notable guests were Nigerian director, videographer, and content creator Paul Saap, alongside Excel Joab, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s pop culture known for his talent-spotting and artist-nurturing prowess. Liberia’s creative scene was represented by veteran singer Zack Roberts of the legendary Zack and Geebah Band, who shared his wealth of experience and insights into the opportunities and challenges faced by creatives in Liberia and across Africa. The summit also featured an engaging panel discussion that tackled key issues within the music and content creation industries.

Panelists included celebrated Liberian broadcaster and entertainment critic Chris Wolo, digital content creator and media personality Royda Philemena Urey, and Moses Kollie Garzeawu, Liberia’s BBC correspondent. The discussion, moderated by Moses Kollie Garzeawu and creative content creator Leann Knowlden, explored topics such as branding, business marketing, collaboration, and the impact of content creation on social media. The panelists emphasized the importance of strategic audience engagement and the collaborative efforts needed to elevate Liberian creatives to the global stage.

Partners like BnB Liberia and Edens360, along with LonestarCell MTN, supported the summit, demonstrating the growing private sector interest in the creative industry. The event’s success highlighted the potential for future editions, with a second summit already being considered for 2025. As attendees departed, they carried with them a renewed sense of purpose and inspiration, ready to contribute to the growth and global recognition of their respective creative industries.

The Creators X Summit was not just a milestone for Liberia’s creative sector but a significant step forward in cross-border collaboration within Africa’s vibrant cultural landscape.
