The funeral of One Direction star Liam Payne is set to feature "a series of song tributes" as a nod to his lifelong passion for music , according to an insider. The 31-year-old singer, who rose to stardom on The X Factor, passed away several weeks ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It's understood that Liam Payne's family wishes to incorporate a unique musical element into the service.

As such, some major acts are expected to perform at the farewell, which is believed to be taking place in Liam's hometown of Wolverhampton, West Midlands. But there are going to be a series of song tributes from some very big acts as he loved singing and making music until the end.



" Speaking to Radar Online, the insider also revealed: "Liam's funeral is going to be packed with A-listers as he was so well-loved in the showbiz community, and so many of them are so sad about his tragic death." Fans have already begun paying their respects outside St. Peter's Collegiate Church in central Wolverhampton this week, leaving flowers and handwritten messages beside the Lady Wulfrun statue nearby.

Last month, locals held a candlelit vigil for Liam outside his former school, St Peter's C.
