Actor Liam Neeson has shared poignant reflections on how his family united following the tragic death of his wife, actress Natasha Richardson, 15 years ago. "It was a horrible thing to happen," Neeson, whose $13 million dollar apartment was up for sale earlier this year , told People magazine. Richardson, known for roles in The Parent Trap and Maid in Manhattan, suffered a fatal head injury during a skiing lesson at Mont Tremblant resort in Quebec on March 16, 2009.

"Everybody just pulled together.

Vanessa and Joely were extraordinary. We were fortunate in lots of ways," Neeson said, praising his late wife's family's support during the crisis. The couple's eldest son, Micheal, now 29, has followed his parents into acting, even appearing alongside his father in the 2020 film Made in Italy.

In 2018, he changed his surname to Richardson in tribute to his mother. "I think Natasha would be proud. I hope so," Neeson said of his son's career choice.
