Wednesday will mark 15 years since Noel quit Oasis 'with great relief' following a backstage bust-up in Paris saying: 'I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.

' Formed in the 1990s, the Britpop group rose to fame with hits like Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out, going on to become arguably one of the biggest bands in British music history. Wednesday will mark 15 years since Noel quit Oasis 'with great relief' following a backstage bust-up in Paris saying: 'I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer' (pictured in 2008) April 1994 The first notable cracks in the relationship between the pair emerged on their first American tour in 1994. A 1994 interview with journalist John Harris descended into 10 minutes of insults between the brothers. The chaos began with Liam discussing the band's arrest on a ferry to Amsterdam, and their 'rock and roll animal' persona, only for Noel to interrupts him by saying: 'Well if you're proud of getting thrown off of ferries then why don't you go and support West Ham and get the f*** out of my band and go and become a football hooligan, right? Cos' we're musicians, we're not football holigans, right?' Liam later tells Noel: 'Sit the f*** down, you're getting into a state, you've have too many G&Ts.

' September 1994 During shows Liam frequently changed the lyrics of Noel's songs to annoy both his brother and American listeners. During a showcase gig at the Whiskey A Go Go in Los Angeles, infamously known as one of the band's most chaotic gigs, Liam started to fling insults at the band, and chucked a tambourine at his brother. Disgusted, Noel stormed off and disappeared for a couple of days.

He eventually returned, but turned the incident into the song Talk Tonight. Liam had headed to the pub during the recording session, bringing party-goers back to the studio while Noel was trying to work.

'As I recall, Liam was going pretty f***ing mad. Somebody let a fire extinguisher off in the farmhouse,' Noel recalled in a later inteview. 'I think maybe one of my guitars got damaged, and I blamed him.

[...

] I ended up having a proper fight with Liam. It might have been the biggest fight we ever had. I remember smashing his head in with a cricket bat.

' Liam has his own version of events, remembering: 'The whole studio got smashed to pieces, everything just got blitzed to bits'. 'It was probably me not giving a f***, and him trying to write f***ing 'Bohemian Rhapsody', and me going, 'B*llocks, let's have it'.' 'I can read him, and I can f**kin' play him like a slightly disused arcade game,' he said of his working relationship with his brother. 'I can make him make decisions that he thinks are his, but really they're mine. Without fightin'.

It's an art I've learned.' 'Our relationship's the same, but we're getting older. Instead of insults and fist fightin', it's now more veiled psychological warfare through the press.

In another statement a few days later, titled 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere', Noel added: 'The details are not important and of too great a number to list.

But I feel you have the right to know that the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable. 'And the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates has left me with no other option than to get me cape and seek pastures new.' ' In the aftermath of their split, Liam set up a new band, Beady Eye with former Oasis members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock. The band released two albums, Different Gear Still Speeding and BE, before disbanding in 2014 amid lukewarm sales, persuading Liam to embark on a solo career. Noel also went solo under the name Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, in 2011.

However, Liam couldn't shy away from a dig and referred to them on Twitter as the 'High-Flying Turds'. After 15 years of fights and walk-outs Oasis split at their final concert in Paris - Rock En Seine after yet another backstage bust-up May 2015 Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, Noel said of a potential Oasis reunion: 'We are split up. You've heard that, haven't you? 'You must've heard.

.. Yeah, so, ergo, band splits up, band is no more.

There is no band. So, no, I won't be getting involved, anyway. If there is a reunion, I won't be in it.

' Liam famously tweeted in reply: 'I see Noel Katie Hopkins Gallagher is talking out of his slack a**e again go and polish your SAXAPHONE Ha ha'. July 2016 The rift between the brothers did not seem to have softened by 2016 when the documentary film Supersonic about the band was released. Liam, asked about the prospects of Noel turning up to the premiere, said: 'Oh no, Noel won't be here.

'He's in one of his really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really big houses. Probably eatin' tofu while havin' a face peel, isn't that right, man of the people?' Around the same time Liam first started calling his brother a 'potato' as an insult he claimed he 'looks like one', posting endless close-up images of Noel to illustrate his point. In 2016 Liam first started calling his brother a 'potato' as an insult he claimed he 'looks like one', posting endless close-up images of Noel to illustrate his point May 2017 Noel threw a 50th birthday party, but didn't invite Liam, leading to an inevitable Twitter onslaught.

'Re potatoes 50th he's not invited none of his family not even his own mother says a lot about the man and his part planner pair of w**kers' Liam posted. 'Who the f**k in there rite mind broadcasts there having a cocaine themed party that's asking for a tug anyways as you were LG x' Relations seemed to be thawing somewhat though as he also tweeted: 'Happy 50th rkid stay young LG.' He explained why he posted the message in a subsequent interview, saying: 'Nah, I just woke up, you know with all the stuff that went on in Manchester, I woke up and I just thought: "You know what? You know I'm going there.

Happy Birthday." 'And plus, I wanted to remind everyone he's an old fart now. You know, the old 1.

6m followers. There were people going, like: "What? he's 50?" I was, like: "Indeed. Yes he is.

"' 'But you know, I did mean it,' Liam added. 'He's my brother, man, and I love him. As much as we get into all the tittle and tattle and that, you know, I wish him well, man.

' In 2017 Noel threw a 50th birthday party, but didn't invite Liam, leading to an inevitable Twitter onslaught June 2017 Just weeks after the birthday message, Liam was back to insulting his brother. Following the Manchester terror attack that saw 22 people killed, Liam slated Noel for not attending a tribute concert at Old Trafford. Noel's camp responded by saying he was out of the country and had donated proceeds from Don't Look Back In Anger to the fund for victims.

Liam tweeted: 'Manchester I'd like to apologise for my brothers absence last night very disappointed stay beautiful stay safe LG x.' He later added: 'Noels out of the f***ing country weren't we all love get on a f***ing plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f**k.' After their split, Noel went solo under the name Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

However, Liam couldn't shy away from a dig and referred to them on Twitter as the 'High-Flying Turds' August 2017 Liam calls Noel 'a working class traitor' when told during an interview that his brother was trying to talk to Brad Pitt backstage at Glastonbury. 'Oh f**kin’ hell. He’s like a f**kin’ stalker him, man.

“Quick! Grab me a famous person!” F**kin’ cringe, man. Bradley f**kin’ Cooper and s**t like that? F**kin’ sit down, mate. Working class traitor.

Go on.' Later in the same interview, he accused Noel of 'stitching me up' during the Oasis split. 'Listen, he's got his issues and I've got my issues.

He don't like me, I don't like him. Blah blah f**kin' blah.' Liam accused Noel of 'stitching me up' during the Oasis split (pictured playing solo at Reading Festival on Sunday) 'He stitched me up with Oasis.

I was the one left to carry the f**kin' blame, and that's it. He went, "F**k this, I want a solo career."' 'He f**kin' set a few booby traps and I got f**kin' collared with it.

So as far as I'm concerned, you can f**k off. He didn't just end it because we were in Paris and we had a ding-dong.' 'You stitched me up and you can f**k off, you c**t.

I'm your f**kin' brother. People go, "Oh you're jealous." I'm not.

I'm living in the f**kin' real world. I've got my kids, I've got my rock'n'roll, I've got my vibe. June 2019 Noel has his own response to talk of a reunion, writing in a 2019 column in Wired magazine.

'If they want to hear old Oasis songs, they're being played by a fat man in an anorak somewhere, you know, with shorts on, so they can go and see that. I've no desire at all to get back involved with Oasis.' Noel released a demo of Don't Stop, without Liam's vocals or Paul 'Bonehead' Arthur's guitar riffs, prompting his brother once again to jump on Twitter August 2019 Noel was back in the press two months later, dropping a string of insults in a Guardian intervew, which was headlined 'I liked my mum until she gave birth to Liam.

'. Discussing Liam's solo efforts, he said: 'I don't listen to the albums because I can't stand his voice.' 'But I hear it on the radio.

I think it's unsophisticated music. For unsophisticated people. Made by an unsophisticated man.

Who's giving unsophisticated orders to a load of songwriters who think they're doing the Oasis thing.' 'I reckon if I put my two sons in a room – one's nine, one's 11 – for about 45 minutes, they could probably muster up something better than that new single of his.' November 2019 Talk of a reunion comes after Noel's £20m divorce from ex-wife Sara MacDonald last year, with the elder Gallagher said to have been persuaded of the financial merits of getting the band together.

A thawing of a relations between the brothers and Noel's single status is also no coincidence, with Liam famously not a fan of Sara, whom Noel married two years after Oasis' 2009 split. In 2019 Liam took a disparaging swipe at his sister-in-law in response to Noel's criticism of his repeated attacks on social media. 'Your wife argues with oasis fans on social media mate she needs to grow up she's nearly 60 we all get s**t on social media my family gets it as well so don't be blaming me (sic),' he wrote.

A thawing of a relations between the brothers and Noel's single status is no coincidence, with Liam famously not a fan of Sara In 2019 Liam took a disparaging swipe at his sister-in-law in response to Noel's criticism of his repeated attacks on social media Liam also referenced Sara's own personal Twitter attack, in which she criticized his parenting skills, labelled him a 'deplorable w***er' and wished he 'dropped dead' before her kids were old enough to use social media. Sara was responding to Liam's newspaper interview in which he said that he 'didn't care' if Sara, Noel or his 'f****** kid' Anais were abused on social media.

Responding on Instagram, Sara said: 'His f****** kid? You mean your gorgeous niece, you deplorable w***** Please god (you) have dropped dead by the time my kids are on social media.' In a series of tweets Liam raged: 'She wished me dead wonder if theres a name for people who do that while you've got your dictionary out have a look (sic).' In an interview with The Big Issue magazine, Noel said his younger sibling is a 'moron' for thinking he'll forgive him for repeatedly insulting his wife and blaming her for being the reason the guitarist won't reform their band.

He said: 'It's strange behaviour for someone who is gagging for me to pick up the phone and say let's do it. He'd put his whole life on hold to get Oasis back together. But every tweet he sends out it's another nail in the coffin of that idea.

' 'If you think for one minute I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f***ing more of a moron than you look.' A few months later a fan tweeted Liam, asking: "Hi Liam, do you know why Noel hates oasis reunion so much??????" Liam responded: "I've told you before he's rite up for it but you know who won’t let him as she doesn't like oasis music.' April 2020 Noel released a demo of Don't Stop, without Liam's vocals or Paul 'Bonehead' Arthur's guitar riffs, prompting his brother once again to jump on Twitter.

'Oi tofu boy if your gonna release old demos make sure im singing on it and boneheads playing guitar on it if not it's not worth a w*nk'. Liam hit out at Noel for allegedly blocking the use of Oasis songs in Liam's documentary, Knebworth 22 2021 Noel revealed in 2021 that he was the one to spark the bitter feud with his brother, leading to their 2009 split. The Oasis rocker spoke of how Liam had given him clothes from his brand Pretty Green before it launched in 2009, only for him to donate it, unworn, to a charity shop.

Marking what was 'the beginning of the end', Noel told The Matt Morgan Podcast how his brother 'went f*****g mental' when he discovered his clothes were on 'a shop mannequin in Barnardo's' before he had even launched the brand. Reliving the tale, Noel said: 'Liam gave us a load of clobber, not just me, he gave the band it. I went straight to the charity shop and left it in the shop doorway.

'He went f*****g mental. He said, 'If you didn't f*****g want it, you should have just said you didn't f*****g want it, you c***. 'It was on the shop mannequin in Barnardo's a month before it launched.

If push comes to shove, that was the beginning of the end.' As he closed his set at Reading on Sunday, Liam revealed an announcement will be made on Tuesday at 8:00am with the same message shared on Oasis, Noel and Liam's X accounts 2022 Liam hit out at Noel for allegedly blocking the use of Oasis songs in Liam's documentary, Knebworth 22. When asked by a fan on Twitter if there would be any of the band's hit songs featured in the documentary, Liam responded: 'No Oasis songs as the angry squirt has blocked them he also blocked the Oasis I sang for Taylor Hawkins tribute he's a horrible little man.
