The Lexus ES is the entry point and one of the most popular models for the Lexus brand. They have updated the vehicle in the Chinese market but we can sure see an update soon as well. The Lexus ES is a brilliant luxury sedan but it has been getting old.
We don’t really think that there is something wrong with the vehicle but it sure has started to show its age in terms of technological department. The ES has now been updated in the Chinese market and we can soon see a similar facelift in the Indian market. The overall shape of the vehicle stays the same but there are some new changes to make it look fresh.
It is a simple yet effective facelift. Lets start with the design, it gets new LED headlights with a new DRL design as well. There is a new grille and Lexus has given the ES a full length LED lightbar at the rear which is to keep up with the trends.
On the inside, there is a new 14-inch infotainment touchscreen which we saw on the Lexus NX. The climate control knobs are now a part of the screen and a lot of things have been integrated into the screen. Lexus has also changed the gear shifter to be more in line with “Chinese customer habits” but we don’t think that change will translate into models outside of China.
There are a couple of new interior colour options as well and one can now spec Snowy Night White interior or Tanzanite Snow Night Interior. There is also a new Lance Moon Ridge trim option. Mechanically, we believe the Lexus ES will remain the same dependi.
