Summary LEVEL Airlines is expanding its US routes this winter, adding Miami and increasing seats by 9%. The carrier will also boost service to Buenos Aires with more weekly frequencies. LEVEL plans to increase its fleet to 8 aircraft by 2026 while focusing on long-haul connections from Barcelona.

Spanish low-cost carrier LEVEL Airlines unveiled its winter schedule last week, revealing it would be expanding its presence on a variety of routes to the Americas. In particular, the United States will see its seat offer grow by 9%, in part driven by the addition of LEVEL’s latest route connecting Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) with Miami. The carrier will also expand its offer on flights to Buenos Aires in Argentina.

LEVEL is the sixth airline in the International Airlines Group, alongside Iberia, Aer Lingus and British Airways among others. Growing the US offer The majority of LEVEL’s flights currently operate to the United States. The carrier has services to New York JFK Airport (JFK), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Miami International Airport (MIA), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

The carrier’s winter schedule includes 277,588 seats to the Americas, including its flights to Buenos Aires (EZE) and Santiago de Chile (SCL). The airline is increasing flights to the US by 9% in terms of seats compared to the same period in 2023. Another important aspect of the carrier’s US operation this winter is the addition of Miami into the schedule, which was launched this summer season in late March.

The group expects strong demand to continue in the medium term. Initially, the Miami flight was meant to operate solely during the summer season, but has since been extended to fly year-round. Each US destination LEVEL flies to will have three weekly flights, including Miami.

Chief Commercial Officer Lucía Adrover said: “In this next winter season, LEVEL will reinforce its commitment to being the preferred opertion for those that want to fly directly and without stops between Barcelona and the Americas. Get all the latest aviation news right here on Simple Flying We will offer robust and constant connectivity from the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, ensuring that our passengers have access to a network of destinations in the United States and South America.” More flights to South America Aside from expansion up north, LEVEL will also be boosting its service to Buenos Aires.

The carrier has decided to maintain a daily service from BCN to EZE from the start of the winter season in October until December. From then on, frequencies will be increased on the route with an eighth weekly frequency added on Saturdays. In other words, flights will operate daily on all days except Saturday, where a double daily service will be in effect.

Santiago de Chile, its only other destination in South America, will see its three weekly frequency maintained. However, LEVEL has revised the timings of the flights in order to “improve the product on offer to its clientele.” Currently, LEVEL’s outbound leg leaves Barcelona at 10:35, arriving in Chile in the evening.

It has decided to switch the route from a daytime to a nighttime service. This winter, flights will leave at 23:25, arriving in Chile the following morning. This will be in effect from the first flight of the season on October 27.

LEVEL plans to continue growing over the next few years, reaching eight aircraft in 2026. It says it plans to continue pursuing its ambition to connect Barcelona to more long-haul destinations..
