The Leura Gardens Festival urgently needs volunteers to help make the 2024 event another success. / (min cost $ 0 ) or signup to continue reading The festival supports Blue Mountains Anzac Memorial Hospital in Katoomba and other health-related organisations in the Upper Blue Mountains. "We invite you to join us as a volunteer for this year's festival which is being held for four days over the October long weekend, from Friday, October 4 to Monday, October 7," said a festival spokeswoman.

In its 58th year, eight beautiful festival gardens will be open for everyone to enjoy, as well as one special garden open for one day only. Volunteers can help by being a friendly face in one of the gardens, by scanning entry tickets or helping visitors from far and wide. Volunteers can select the times they wish to help - either morning or afternoon shifts of three-and-a-half hours - and are not required to have a deep knowledge of gardening - what's more important is to have a welcoming and outgoing manner.



Anyone interested in becoming a festival volunteer should complete the online expression of interest form on the festival website: In 2023 the festival welcomed more than 6000 national and international visitors and to date the festival has raised more than $3.5 million.
