Summer’s warm weather used to end in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region before the official start of Fall. Anecdotally it seemed to end on the Labor Day Weekend. This year the warm-no, actually hot-weather continued all thru the month of September and thru the very last days of October.
Too much of a good (hot/dry) thing. Methinks what I read recently should be asked of everyone and all the politicians out there. Not “Do you believe in climate change”, but rather, “Do you understand climate change.
.” James Stolz Colorado Springs Again Mayor Yemi Mobolade and the City Council are wanting to extend the 2C tax extension. It has been renewed twice for a total of eight years.
Now they want to extend the tax for another 10 years. Don’t let them do it. They have received approximately $50 million in revenues annually for exclusive use on road improvements within the city.
They have also received funding through (PPRTA) and the City’s General Fund budget. The roads are still as bad as they were eight years ago. Seems like something is wrong here as the roads are still terrible.
You can see where some potholes have been repaired throughout the city but also the repair doesn’t last long as they reappear within 60 days. Are they using bad material or is it bad workmanship? I realize the city has grown leaps and bounds in recent years but that is because of the mega growth agenda that has been approved by the city, knowing that we do not have the infrastructure fo.
