Regarding Mike Bianchi’s Jan. 18 column, “Why is Urban Meyer not in Gators Ring of Honor?” ) Let me acknowledge his awareness of Coach Meyer’s lack of a conscience, but I believe with all the troubles it wrought, that should keep him out of the Ring of Honor at UF. My reasons: Numerous publications, including the Sentinel, have pointed out his flippant disregard for the criminal behavior of his players, with more than 30 players arrested during his time with the Gators.
Actions are supposed to have consequences, but they often did not under Meyer. His win-at-all-costs attitude was allowed to go on unabated by everyone — anything goes for players who produce wins. I don’t believe Urban Meyer should be in the Ring of Honor.

At one point, Trump was encouraged by Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde to show mercy to immigrants, LGBT folks and other marginalized human beings that he has targeted for deportation, persecution and other official cruelties. Predictably, Trump was not pleased despite his avowed Christianity, describing the bishop — a woman, by the way — as “nast.
