Thank you, Polly Baxter, for stating your concerns in your A friend asked me, "Did you write this?" That's because after moving here I have voiced my frustration with the unsightly weeds in Bemidji streets, medians, sidewalks, curbs and now roundabouts. I contacted different departments to determine who is charged with removing weeds and maintaining these areas to no avail. Visitors and tourists come to see Bemidji and spend time and money here.

These areas mentioned above need to be maintained properly and weed-free. One can see unsightly weeds in all medians and sidewalks in Bemidji. But, specifically at the intersection of First Street and Paul Bunyan Drive there are several medians in that area and all are unkept with weeds like one might see in a ghost town.

See more weeds in the cement near the beautiful Mississippi Bridge. Weeds in city sidewalks that surround Greenwood Cemetery are a disgrace. Not a good message to send to visitors about our city.

Who is supposed to take care of this problem?.
