The Barbican area — I live right next to it. It’s really chilled and quiet most of the time — apart from construction. I moved in around March.

I was living at my mum’s place in Mayfair before. Prior to that I was living with four friends in Bermondsey. Where was your first flat? Kentish Town.

I lived in this really nice flat above Rankin’s studio, actually. I moved in there around four months before Covid — that was a bit of a f***ing experience, I’m not gonna lie. But it was good, I miss that flat.

What was your first job? My older brother James hooked me up with this backline warehouse storage unit. I was an assistant of a guitar tech and I’d have to go through huge shelves of amps, guitars, basses, keyboards — everything and just log them all into the computer, see what’s working and what needed to be fixed. Then come festival season, I’d have to box them all up and ship them to Boomtown, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, when that was still around.

Where would you recommend for a first date? Soho is always really good fun. Cafe Boheme is fun. I like going to gigs as well.

The George Tavern or The Windmill in Brixton, those are really good places ...

and cheap pints. Which shops do you rely on? I always see myself checking out APC and YMC. Whenever I walk past the store I’ll just pop in and have a little look.

I don’t always buy anything, but those are two brands that I love, so I can’t resist going in. Favourite restaurant? Cecconi.
