Ramanand Sagar , the legendary storyteller behind the iconic Ramayan series, is set to captivate audiences once again with Kaakbhushundi Ramayan , a new retelling directed by his grandson, Shiv Sagar . This latest adaptation will bring back the magic of Sagar’s storytelling with an innovative twist: Artificial Intelligence will recreate the legendary filmmaker's voice, allowing him to “narrate” the series as he did decades ago. Slated to air on Doordarshan starting November 18, Kaakbhushundi Ramayan will introduce a fresh cast in the roles of Ram, Laxman, and Sita.

However, Ramanand Sagar’s recreated voice is expected to provide a powerful bridge to the original series, invoking a deep sense of nostalgia for older viewers while drawing new audiences into the timeless story. Shiv Sagar shared insights into the AI-driven revival of his grandfather’s voice: “Just like he would appear before every episode of Ramayan, he will once again guide the audience, introducing the story’s progression. His voice will make viewers feel as though he’s right there, in flesh and blood, narrating the tale.



” Using advanced machine learning, Shiv and his team fed hours of Ramanand Sagar’s archival audio recordings into an AI model, which has meticulously synthesized his voice to make it resonate authentically on screen.
