Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 may be wrapping up, but that doesn’t mean that Epic Games isn’t working hard to bring new content to the game. All eyes may be on the start of Season 4, but both Epic Games and Disney have a few secrets up their sleeves that will bring one of the most highly requested collaborations to the game. Epic Games has announced that a special Fortnite segment of the Disney fan event, D23, will be broadcast on August 10th at 11:30 pm ET, and will include “Never before seen content.
” New leaks have suggested that we will see the first official collaborations with Disney characters announced. According to iFireMonkey, it is believed that a Kingdom Hearts collaboration is set to come to the game, along with Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles saying, “Kingdom Hearts + Keyblade Mythic item that can shoot Fire, Ice and lightning it can also heal you. Darkwing Duck Gargoyles” It is also not surprising that Marvel is set to be permanently added to the Item Shop due to the long-running collaboration dating back to 2018, there is rarely a time without at least one Marvel character available to purchase. Perhaps the most interesting news is the Kingdom Hearts collaboration, as that could bring not only characters such as Sora to Fortnite, but iconic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy. It is worth noting that despite being a Disney IP, the Kingdom Hearts series was developed by Square Enix, the developers behind the Final Fantasy series, and the inspiration for its gameplay style.
This collaboration marks the first time that a Square Enix title has made its way to Fortnite, which does open the door for a potential crossover with the likes of Final Fantasy 7, which saw the second entry in the remake trilogy, Rebirth, released earlier this year. Final Fantasy 7 has been part of crossovers in the past with games such as Apex Legends, but bringing the likes of Cloud, Tifa, and Sephiroth to Fortnite would be great to see and has long been a highly requested collab by the community. The D23 segment will happen following the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 live event that players can take part in at 2 pm ET on August 10th before the season wraps up on August 16th.
This will then kick off the next Marvel-themed season before heading back to the Chapter 2 map in the next Fortnite OG season . Fortnite Festival also has plenty of new content coming, with Guns N’ Roses songs being added to the mode this week, and Karol G will be the featured artist in Season 5 ..
