Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and a fugitive involved in multiple high-profile criminal cases, has been detained in the United States, according to PTI and Mumbai police sources. Anmol is accused of orchestrating the October 12 murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique in Mumbai’s Bandra area. He is also linked to the April 14 firing incident outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments, allegedly carried out by two bike-borne men, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal.
Previously believed to be residing in Canada, Anmol reportedly traveled frequently to the U.S. His elder brother Lawrence Bishnoi, who is incarcerated in Sabarmati Central Jail, is suspected of operating a global criminal network despite his imprisonment.
The Mumbai police have initiated extradition proceedings for Anmol Bishnoi, sending an official proposal to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The MHA is expected to forward the request to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The process gained momentum after U.
