Lucknow, September 27: A law student from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested in Lucknow for a series of home thefts carried out to fund his girlfriend’s extravagant lifestyle. Identified as Abdul Haleem, the accused targeted homes in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar to meet his girlfriend's demands for luxury items such as iPhones, shopping sprees, and club outings. According to a report in India Today , the police launched an investigation following multiple thefts in the area, using CCTV footage to trace Abdul’s movements and identify him as the suspect.
Over the span of a week, Abdul broke into three homes, stealing jewellery and cash to support his girlfriend’s lavish habits.
