The Latino Pilots Association (LPA) has announced the dates and content of its 2024 Latin Aerospace Industry Expo. Tackling the disparity in the aviation industry Despite efforts to diversify the pilot industry in the USA, the Latino community is still woefully underrepresented. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, just 6.1% of aircraft pilots and flight engineers are Latino or Hispanic, with many of the community put off from pursuing such careers due to financial barriers and lack of role models.
The LPA has a mission to change all this, and the 2024 Expo is designed to provide a springboard to help Latinos achieve their dreams.
