While the evil Terminid and Automaton colonies continually spawn new bug and bot variants to challenge Super Earth’s best, High Command’s R&D department doesn’t just sit around twiddling its thumbs. It periodically provides us with even more weapons and vehicles of mass destruction to splash Liber-tea on the proverbial raging fire that is the Galactic War. And, based on the latest Helldivers 2 leak, they may be bringing back another devastatingly powerful vehicle to help us fight the good fight: the Bastion Tank.

If you’ve played the first Helldivers game, you may already be familiar with this rolling iron obliterator. For those who haven’t, though, leaker ‘ recent Reddit post can give you an idea of what the Bastion Tank would potentially look like in Helldivers 2. A durable and mobile piece of advanced machinery, the ‘TD-110’ would be equipped with a high-powered main cannon to destroy enemy structures (Detector Towers, Shrieker Nests, etc.

) in . In addition, if it’s anything like its predecessor, you can upgrade it to add a machine gun below the main cannon for more firepower. Of course, since the massive Bastion Tank would be too much for any one soldier to handle, it’ll require two players to pilot it: a driver and a gunner.

But like any piece of powerful machinery, this one also has limitations; you can only use it once per mission, and naturally, its ammo isn’t unlimited. As always, since Arrowhead Game Studios has yet to confirm this, you’ll need to take these details with the customary grain of salt. Plus, even if it is true and the Bastion Tank does end up coming to Helldivers 2, AGS may not be planning on adding it soon since they haven’t introduced any other vehicles until now.

Like the original, the devs may include it as part of a vehicle DLC that’ll bring more than one of these machines to the battlefront (although this is still speculation).
