The Late Late Show have enlisted the help of popstar Chappell Roan in a hilarious video to tease the return of the Late Late Show’s Country Special. The country special is usually a highlight of the Late Late season, with previous guests including Una Healy and Declan Nerney last year. Teasing this year’s country special, Patrick ‘interrupted’ pop singer Chappell Roan’s Coachella introduction — where the Hot to Go singer told the audience ‘I’m going to serve exactly what you are.

..’ before she says a word that we can’t repeat here.



Thankfully, Patrick managed to cut her off just before offending the censors, and got to promote the show to boot. A post shared by The Late Late Show (@latelaterte) ‘C–ountry music on the Late Late Show country special!’ Patrick said from the Late Late studio. ‘Y’all come back soon now, y’all hear?’ The clip got a hilarious reaction, with Jedward commenting on Instagram that they ‘love c[o]untry music,’ while others responded with laughing emojis.

The country special comes as Patrick had his say as the Late Late Show are planning to move out of their Montrose studio, alongside Fair City in a cost cutting measure. It was announced earlier this year that both Fair City and the Late Late would be moving off campus from Montrose, which means that the chat show will be hosted outside of Studio 4 in RTÉ’s television centre for the first time since 1995. Patrick confirmed that both shows will be moved at some sta.
