With a luminous sun-kissed complexion and sexy, voluminous blow dry, next season’s 16Arlington girl reflects what women really want in the hair and make-up department. Natural but polished, considered yet undone, hairstylist Sam McKnight and make-up artist Lauren Parsons delivered the kind of gorgeous, glossy looks that dreams are made of on models including Devyn Garcia, Edie Campbell and Alva Claire. “I looked at pictures of Gisele from Vogue in the late ’90s and early 2000s,” McKnight explains backstage at the show.

“She’s got a lot of volume, lots of sass, but she’s still really cool. Maybe she’s been at a beach party, but her hair is rich and sexy. It’s that kind of Brazilian bombshell, voluminous blow dry.

” Spritzing his aptly named Cool Girl Superlift Root Volumising Spray (which contains a water-based polymer to sculpt and style hair), and Save The Do Heat Protection Spray into models’ roots, McKnight then used a round brush while he blow dried hair upwards. “For volume, always pull the hair upwards, or blow dry your hair when it’s upside down,” he recommends. “For this look we’re also putting velcro rollers in to add bounce and extra body.

” On shorter, afro textured hair, he worked his Love Me Do Nourishing Oil through the hair for a high-shine finish. The perfect partner to luxurious hair? Equally lustrous skin, which came courtesy of Parsons and pre-show mini facials from Katey McTavish, global education manager at Kate Somerville. Using a combination of the brand’s cult Goat Milk Cleanser , Moisturiser and new Body Lotion (which launches 1 October), the three-step routine gently exfoliated skin for an even-toned finish, while moisturising and fortifying ailing skin barriers.

It was the perfect pick-me-up for models mid-way through a gruelling season of shows. On top of that came “the whole shebang”, explains Parsons of the feminine, sexy look that creative director, Marco Capaldo, loves so much. “Hot girl summer continues,” she says.

“We all want to look hot, don’t we?!” The recipe for said hotness goes as follows: bronzer, blusher, base, and some sultry eye make-up to boot. “We’re bronzing first, using Max Factor’s creamy Miracle Pure Golden Glow Bronzer , then we’re applying a bit of blush, courtesy of the Miracle Pure Infused Cream Blush . Both of them have really punchy pigments, so we’re applying their new serum-foundation hybrid – the Miracle Pure Skin Reset – afterwards,” she explains.

“I’m all about very gentle skin, but even though these formulas have strong pigments, they blend incredibly well together, creating an instantly polished ‘full face’ look.” For those foxy eyes, she used a single brown shade in the Masterpiece Nude Palette (a steal at £14.99), on all skin tones.

“On paler skins, it lends definition, while on darker tones, it creates a reverse cut crease effect,” Parsons explains. “Then we used two of the highlighting shades in the palette to create a wet-look finish in the corners of the eye – it creates a gloss effect, but is more wearable. This is a look that is great IRL, as well as on the catwalk.

” Bronzed bombshell with hallmarks of Gisele, the 16Arlington spring/summer 2025 look will appeal to most. “Marco is all about a sexy, sensual girl – it’s all about the kind of ease that Gisele had when she first came out and blew the world apart. She knows she’s mega, but you can still sit with her – she may be the hottest one in the group, but she’s still friendly.

” Aspirational, rather than intimidating beauty...
