From Laddu Gopal idols to bhog thalis, agarbattis and more — quick commerce apps have created festival-specific stores to make it easier for users to order puja essentials . Simi Khanna, a resident of Baner, ordered rakhis via quick commerce and plans to order mithai and puja items online.

“I had forgotten to buy rakhis on the day of Rakshabandhan and ordered it an hour before I went to my brother’s house,” said Khanna. Quick commerce platform Swiggy Instamart has seen an increasing number of citizens order festive needs online. “We have been delivering everything — from eco-friendly Ganesh idols and gold and silver coins, to gulaal and Indian sweets to meet the demand.
