CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A suspect accused of taking part in stealing luxury vehicles from across the Queen City including several vehicles from the Charlotte Airport has been indicted, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina announced this week.

Charlotte resident Terrick Lumpkin, 38, was arrested and faces multiple charges including stolen vehicle possession and conspiracy to transport and sell a stolen vehicle while altering the VIN. Court records stated that in 2023 and 2024, Lumpkin obtained stolen high-end luxury vehicles including Lamborghini’s, Mercedes, and Cadillac’s from various locations around Charlotte including the Charlotte Airport. Records stated that he and co-conspirators then tampered with the Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN).

Vehicles were also stolen out of New York and Illinois. Lumpkin was indicted last Tuesday and was released on bond. He and others face decades in prison if convicted.
