The triathlon races, hosted by the sports event company Alpha Win, are held on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, beginning with the swimming leg at Million Dollar Beach.

The Alpha long-course race is set for Aug. 31 at 7 a.m.



, featuring a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run.

The races continue on Sept. 1 at 6:30 a.m.

with the Alpha Sprint — a 750-meter swim, 12.4-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run.

The final race, the Alpha Olympic is set for 7:10 a.m. on Sept.

1. This race is a 1,500-meter swim, 24.8-mile bike and a 6.

2-mile run. “We are excited to welcome athletes back to the beautiful shores of Lake George for an enjoyable weekend of racing,” triathlon director Tommy Struzzeri said in a press release. “The Lake George Triathlon combines experienced athletes and new people to the sport.

I can’t wait to see a variety of athletes achieve their goals as they cross the finish line.” The Lake George Triathlon also features AquaBike (swimming and cycling) and duathlon (run-bike-run) options. Some of the most prominent collegiate athletes will be in attendance, as the Northeastern Collegiate Triathlon Conference will be participating.

The charity partner for the event is the Lake George Land Conservancy. The LGLC protects the land within the Lake George watershed. Athletes interested in competing are encouraged to register online at alpha.
