Another week has passed and it’s time for another LA Kings weekly prospect update . This week’s prospect update was highlighted by a goalie who had a solid performance, but in a losing effort, that caught my attention. That player is Hampton Slukynsky .
Slukynsky made one start during the week, Western Michigan University’s only game, and made 32 saves on 35 shots faced as the Broncos, ranked 14th, fell to the number-two-ranked Boston College Eagles , 4-2. For Slukynsky to have that performance against a team like Boston College is a good sign that he is doing fine in adjusting to the NCAA, albeit for a short time. It’ll be interesting to track his progress as the season goes along.
