is facing backlash once again as social media users from other brands for On Tuesday, star shared a new product launch on her Instagram. The 26-year-old posed for a steamy shoot, simulating a nude look with a skin-colored bandeau top and her stomach exposed. She posed while holding her latest Kylie Cosmetics product, the Skin Tint Blurring Elixir.
She captioned the post: "My skin tint blurring elixir is now available at @ultabeauty stores nationwide. 24 shades of our weightless formula that looks and feels like skin and lasts all day. I hope you guys love.
" While some fans did in fact "love" it, others didn't appreciate how similar it was to products realized by competing companies and some even called her out for "stealing." "Constantly stealing ideas from other brands and putting it in your own little packaging," one fan wrote, while another responded, "Thank you for speaking up! A lot of people don’t know that the Kardashians steal other brands intellectual property." "Is this the same design that another company has already," a different fan asked.
While it's not clear exactly which brand these users are referencing, several brands have similar products with a similar design including , Fenty by Rihanna and Michael Truth. This isn't the first time Kylie has been accused of copying other brands. She was recently accused of stealing Hailey Bieber's company Rhodes' She has also been accused of copying lesser known artists.
Back in 2017, many fans noticed a striking resemblance between her Kylie Cosmetics holiday campaign and a photo done by makeup artist Vlada Haggarty. Vlada addressed the accusations on Instagram, writing, "Really @kyliecosmetics? Haven't you gotten enough 'inspiration' from me already?" Additionally, her clothing line Khy has faced plagiarism accusations as well. She has been accused of copying Australian brand Johansen.
Betsy Johnson also claimed Kylie copied her. "We emailed Kylie and all her team @products.ltd concept and langauge [sic] and a line sheet 6 MONTHS AGO," Johnson wrote.
