Thursday, December 26, 2024 The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in Kuwait, led by its Chairman Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has emphasized the urgent need for modernization in the Arab aviation sector. This call for progress was made during an extraordinary session of the General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), held in Rabat, Morocco, with representatives from several Arab nations in attendance. Sheikh Humoud’s remarks focused on aligning the Arab aviation sector with global advancements and addressing the challenges presented by international aviation blocs.

These efforts aim to enhance regional collaboration, improve airport operations, and elevate passenger experiences across Arab nations. The extraordinary ACAO session took place against the backdrop of rapid global advancements in air transport and aviation technology. Sheikh Humoud highlighted that these changes necessitate urgent modernization of the Arab aviation sector.



He pointed out that seamless passenger movement, improved airport efficiency, and integrated technologies are essential to ensuring the region’s competitiveness. The DGCA chairman called for the adoption of innovative practices to meet rising passenger expectations. Stressing that modernization should never come at the expense of safety, he emphasized a balanced approach to technological integration that preserves robust security measures.
