Monday, November 25, 2024 Kuching, Sarawak , will host the 15th World Congress on Design and Health in 2026, uniting global experts to shape healthier, sustainable urban futures. Kuching has been selected to host the 15th World Congress and Exhibition on Design and Health (WCDH), scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 2, 2026. Under the theme “Shaping Future Health Society: Designing for Healthy Lifestyle Behavior, Equity, and Sustainability,” WCDH 2026 is a collaborative effort between Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and the International Academy for Design and Health.

The event is expected to attract over 1,000 participants from around the world, offering a platform to exchange ideas on health-centric urban design aimed at fostering well-being and enhancing quality of life. According to the Deputy Premier and Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak, The Hon. Datuk Amar Prof.



Dr Sim Kui Hian , “This objective resonates with Sarawak’s ambitions to advance health-focused events that foster sustainable environments and economic development under the WHO Healthy City initiatives and Post-Covid Development Strategy 2030.”.
