King's Cross St Pancras is being evacuated due to an "emergency," with passengers forced to quickly make their way out of the building. Social media users have shared videos of the mass evacuation panic as commuters and tourists were going about their day. Loud sirens can be heard over the speakers with an announcer calling: "Your attention please, due to a reported emergency please could all passengers leave thee station immediately.
" This comes after huge disruptions on the Elizabeth Underground line this morning. There had been no official update from Transport for London as to what the emergency was, but it was thought it might be connected to the disruptions from earlier. Today, swathes of the latest addition to London's transport network are in limbo between Paddington and Abbey Wood due to a signalling system fault, as revealed by TfL.
Now, the service has released a statement saying all platforms are officially closed and will not be accepting passengers. It was due to an overcrowding issue, with many passengers having to divert their journeys this morning. On X, they wrote: "King's Cross St.
Pancreas station - This station is closed to prevent overcrowding. Valid tickets are being accepted on London Buses either side of this station." Several social media users have shared their confusion at the scenes, with one writing: "Not sure what’s happened at St Pancras underground station but best to avoid if you can.
" They also attached a video of several people clustered .
