King Charles has been greeted in an unexpected way by a very unlikely fan while on his Canberra visit. Interacting with crowds during the trip as part of his and Queen Camilla’s Australian royal tour , the king was sneezed on by an overly excited alpaca named Hephner. Hephner was dressed in his finest attire for the royal encounter, wearing a suit neck accessory with a gold bowtie and matching gold crown. Charles gave Hephner a pat across the nose, prompting a big sneeze from the animal.
Following the War Memorial, the King and Queen Camilla headed to meet with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at Parliament House where they were received with a 21-gun salute. They will attend a reception for political and community leaders, and Australians who have excelled in the fields of health, arts, culture and sport hosted by Albanese and his fiancee Jodie Haydon at Parliament House’s Great Hall. Charles and Camilla will then separate for individual engagements.
The King will visit the CSIRO, meeting with scientists who will speak about their work dealing with the impact of bushfires in Australia. Meanwhile, Camilla will participate in a discussion on family and domestic violence, and meet representatives from GIVIT, the Australian charity of which .
