King Charles has reportedly snapped up a £3 million Wiltshire property to prevent it from becoming a wedding hotspot. The luxurious residence is conveniently located next to Queen Camilla's beloved Ray Mill House. Camilla, now 77, purchased the rural haven in Lacock village in 1995 and cherishes her time spent there with loved ones.

A confidante of Camilla disclosed to the Mail on Sunday that a prospective buyer had plans to "maximise commercial use of the property as a short-term holiday rental and wedding venue". Phil Clayton, who owns The Old Mill adjacent to the Queen's retreat, was given the green light in February 2022 to use his outbuilding as a holiday let.
