Irish sportswear company O’Neills appear to have another celebrity fan after Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North West was spotted wearing one of the jerseys on social media. In a post shared by Khloe Kardashian, North West was seen rocking the long-sleeve black and white striped jersey from the sports brand, posing for selfies alongside her famous family.
It appears the jersey she is wearing is one of their soccer tops. North West is the oldest child of Kim and rapper Kanye, with the 11-year-old carving out her own music career even at this early stage of her life. She has appeared in the music video for her father Kanye West's 2014 single Only One, and has also made several appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians along with her mother, Kim Kardashian.

The two snaps featuring the four members of the family were shared to Khloe’s 307 million Instagram followers, as she could be seen holding up a peace sign alongside nieces North and Penelope, and sister Kim. The post was captioned: “I’m hanging with the cool kids.” O’Neills got involved in the post themselves, replying under the photo: “Does this mean Collab?” It’s not the first time the brand have found themselves causing a storm on social media after a celebrity admirer wears their clothing.
Their clothing famously spawned the so-called ‘Paul Mescal effect’ after the Normal People actor wore their shorts on screen during the 2020 smash hit drama. The company even revealed it contributed to a 20% increase in the sales of O’Neills shorts that year. The dramatisation of Sally Rooney’s Normal People made the 20 euro O'Neills shorts one of the most sought-after fashion items of 2020.
In a previous interview with Harper's Bazaar, Mescal said the phenomenon was “thrilling”. "This is thrilling to me. I love it,” he said.

” This latest picture is also not the first local clothing connection the Kardashian and West family have, after Kanye was seen last year wearing a west Belfast school's sports jacket in a video posted on social media. The Instagram post showed Kanye donning the top that appeared to have the crest for St Mary's Christian Brothers' Grammar School on it. St Mary’s principal Siobhan Kelly told the BBC at the time that the sweaters were designed for the school's appearance in the final of the Gaelic football competition in 2008.
"That's 100% one of our tops. Only 35 tops were made and given to playing squad and management," Mrs Kelly said. "He may have been given it by someone from west Belfast or maybe he picked it up in a charity shop - we do not know.
