Here's what she told us about the film in an exclusive interview: In Sanjay Chhel’s Khoobsurat, you played a gawky girl who metamorphoses into a beautiful woman. It's not about an ugly girl becoming beautiful. It's just about the girl finding her own inner beauty.



It was a beautiful concept and thought that the writer and director Sanjay Chhel came up with, which I think all of them instantly liked, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing the role as well. Sanjay Dutt almost played Prof. Higgins to your Eliza Dolittle? She is this girl who is so underconfident and uncertain of herself, and slowly, with the help of this guy in her life who is played by Sanjay Dutt, you know how she slowly discovers herself and her own beauty and becomes this beautiful and confident young girl, and in the process, the beautiful love story that unfolds.

Jatin-Lalit’s music and Gulzar Saab’s lyrics played a major hand in giving your character Shivani her captivating contours. The music was absolutely brilliant and going completely hand in hand with a beautiful light romance, lighthearted comedy, and romantic movie that it was.
