Hungry travellers can get their fried chicken fix after fast food chain KFC opened a new restaurant at Perth Airport. KFC Perth Airport began trading on August 2 and celebrated its opening last Saturday. Fried chicken fiends were showered with prizes, vouchers and a chance to win KFC merchandise.

The new store is expected to create almost 50 new jobs and will be led by hospitality veteran Sam Ho Im. “We’re thrilled to welcome 49 new team members into the KFC family, providing a significant number of jobs to the local area,” he said. “We’re passionate about building a strong and confident team to ensure we provide both the best customer service possible and quality KFC to the people and hungry travellers at Perth Airport.

“Our culture fosters the growth and development of our people by providing opportunities that help them gain lifelong skills, confidence and friends. “We’re looking forward to watching our new team members reach their potential.” The new eatery comes just months after Perth Airport announced it would consolidate its terminals into one complex after a deal struck with Qantas.

“We are working hard to develop the Airport West precinct into a drawcard for WA businesses, offering great options for passengers, airport workers and the local community,” Perth Airport chief property officer Dan Sweet said. “With Redcliffe station within walking distance, the new store continues to deliver on our vision of developing a transit-oriented town cent.
