.. being Batman" ? Conroy voiced Bruce Wayne / Batman for the first time in Batman: The Animated Series (1992–1995) and went on to portray the character in various other entries in the DCAU and in other animated TV shows and video games.

Conroy played the live-action version of Bruce Wayne (Earth-99) in a first-season episode (part of the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earth crossover event) of the CW series Batwoman (2019-2022). This was Conroy’s final on-screen appearance. Conroy passed away in a hospital on November 10, 2022, due to complications related to intestinal cancer.

He was 66 years old at the time. Notably, Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 also marks Hamill’s final outing as Joker. Conroy and the Star Wars actor have voiced their respective characters together since Batman: The Animated Series.

After Conroy’s death, Hamill announced he would no longer voice the Clown Prince of Crime. “We were like partners. We were like Laurel and Hardy.
