Kerry Katona has revealed her views on Eamonn Holmes and his new girlfriend. The singer and presenter has been friends with Holmes for some time and while she admits she wouldn't speak ill of him, she may disagree with some of his actions. Eamonn, 64, was recently spotted soaking up the sun in Ibiza over the weekend with 42-year-old relationship counsellor, Katie Alexander.
Eamonn was seen grabbing her bum as he sat in a wheelchair . The couple made the stop in Ibiza during their lavish cruise after they were seen last week boarding the Virgin vessel for its Voyager journey. Eamonn began dating his wife, Ruth Langsford in 1996, with the pair later marrying on June 26, 2010.
However, in May this year, the couple announced that they had started plans to divorce after 14 years of marriage. It was claimed Eamonn was seeking comfort in Alexander who is believed to have been a family friend. Meanwhile, Ruth is said to have hired top lawyer Catherine Costley, who is a protegee of Baroness Fiona Shackleton, who has worked for members of The Royal Family .
Now, Kerry , 44, has admitted she is "surprised" by Eamonn's relationship just four months after he and Ruth announced their plans to divorce. "I've been seeing a lot of pictures of Eamonn Holmes and Katie Alexander, who is reported to be his new girlfriend, and I am surprised as it hasn’t been long since his split from Ruth Langsford," she wrote in her OK! Magazine column. Kerry went on to add: "I do feel bad for Ruth.
If that's the case, it can't be nice seeing his new relationship everywhere. I think Ruth's a really strong woman and has handled the whole situation with grace." The former Atomic Kitten singer continued: "But at the same time, I love Eamonn and he's a good friend, so I would never want to speak negatively about him.
Getting into a new relationship is sometimes the way people deal with things. I've done it myself, so I understand that coping strategy." Eamonn's luxury trip even reportedly left Ruth and her friends "gobsmacked" .
Speaking of their romantic holiday, a source told The Sun: "The cruise is just the latest proof of their closeness. Katie has been telling pals she and Eamonn are going to be for keeps — and now everyone is starting to believe her." They added: "Eamonn’s zest for her — the latest being this all-expenses-paid trip — has wowed Ruth and pals.
He has found a new lease of life for sure. Everyone is amazed." Eamonn and his new girlfriend Katie first met in 2015 when her comment on a social media post generated a conversation between the pair.
