Kelly Brook claims she was denied food while competing in Celebrity Race Across The World. The former model entered the show with her husband Jeremy Parisi but it seems she came across several struggles. Since the show came to an end, she has revealed that she would ask crew members for food and a shower behind the scenes.
Speaking about her experience, Kelly said: "[Production] would not help us at all. They are eating Brazilian BBQ in front of you and won't give you anything. There was a hotel room which all the crew were using to shower and charge their phones and I hadn't showered in three days and they wouldn't give me the key.
"I was trying to bond with them to get them to help us but they weren't having any of it. The only thing we managed to get off them was a coconut because I suggested it would be good for a shot." The programme sees four celebrities, each with a partner, try to be the fastest to reach their final destination.
However, they are not allowed to use air travel. Kelly and Jeremy clashed on occasion while on the show, but they managed to work it out and work as a team. The pair hinted at potentially differing approaches to the experience at the beginning, with Kelly looking forward to activities, whilst Jeremy was focused on the competition itself.
She said in one scene: "I'm gonna wanna go to bossa nova bars. I'm gonna wanna learn samba." Jeremy was then heard telling her: "We need to be competition-focused.
" Kelly acknowledged that her approach could impact their speed, saying: "I've got an insatiable appetite for just eating everything and seeing everything. And that might slow us down a little bit." Referencing Jeremy, she added: "But when you've got an athlete on your side, it's a different mentality.
" However, she managed to change her mindset and found her own competitive side coming out as well. The duo managed to reach the first check point first. Following the news, Kelly commented: "I think it's taught us that you can't give up, you've got to keep going.
" She added: "I mean, I would have loved to have seen more, but I want Jeremy to like...
he's a winner. I want him to be a winner." Kelly said that her husband Jeremy is "crazy competitive" whereas she is "more about the experience".
She said: "I'm much more about the experience. I think I got on his nerves because he was full steam ahead." Kelly added: "I was grumpy at times - every night we didn't know where we would be sleeping - but I think he was surprised how strong I was.
