The crew and actors were recording scenes for the movie The Woman in Cabin 10 on board a luxury superyacht anchored in Portland Harbour, Dorset. Although a warning had been issued to residents in advance of the series of five-minute long firework displays, many locals were left fuming by the din that was stretched out over three hours.
Many complained the spectacle was incredibly loud and disturbed sleeping children, frightened pets and some even said it sounded like a war had started. One resident said: 'Would have been good to have been warned. Our windows rattled on first blast and our young dog is petrified.
