In a recent Instagram post, Kehlani has fiercely denied what she calls a “heartbreaking” accusation of having an “inappropriate relationship” with her four-year-old daughter , Adeya. The Grammy -nominated singer addressed the wild rumors, which surfaced after court documents from her custody dispute with ex-partner Javaughn Young-White circulated on social media. Young-White’s filing claims Kehlani allegedly told him in a text that a spiritual reading revealed Adeya’s spirit had been one of her “wives in a past life.
” The documents included a screenshot of Young-White asking: “What area of the world did this past life person say Adeya is from?” to which Kehlani responded: “South amurrrica she was my wife once lol.” Facing intense scrutiny over the alleged “past life” comment, Kehlani took to Instagram to clarify that her message was “a lighthearted recap” of a past-life reading she didn’t take seriously. “As a person that has always gotten little readings here and there, I shared what I considered to be a lighthearted recap with my child’s father, laughing at it,” she wrote.
In her post, Kehlani blasted the misleading information that spread like wildifire, saying: “To have those screenshots then doctored, the rest of messages left out, to make me seem like i consider myself to be in an inappropriate relationship with my DAUGHTER.. is the most heartbreak[ing] thing i’ve ever f---ing heard.
