Pune: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday accused senior MVA politicians of creating hurdles for the Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin scheme that guarantees a monthly income of Rs 1,500 for women under certain financial and age categories. "MVA has a political rivalry against us (Mahayuti). But do not take revenge for that rivalry against women of the state," he said at a rally in Pune's Parvati constituency.

A few hours later, while speaking at another event, Fadnavis called NCP(SCP) chief Sharad Pawar the owner of a "fake narrative-producing factory" and his daughter and Baramati MP Supriya its director. "Recently, a factory of fake narrative has been opened, and I am shocked that senior politician Sharad Pawar is behaving like its owner," the deputy CM said at a rally for BJP's Chinchwad candidate Shankar Jagtap. The BJP politician further said that Pawar is often claiming industries are relocating from Maharashtra to elsewhere, which is not true.



"Such kind of fake narrative is not expected from a politician like Pawar." Refuting MVA's claim that industries are shifting their bases to Gujarat, Fadnavis said, "I am surprised that Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray are speaking like spokespersons of Gujarat. The Gujarat govt does not even have to spend on its advertisement.
