The middle-distance runner won gold courtesy of her stunning sheer yellow evening dress as she made an appearance at the 40th anniversary Icons party, held at Kensington Roof Gardens.

It was the latest in a series of glamorous public appearances for Hodgkinson, 22, who attended the party after occupying a front row seat for Burberry 's summer 2025 show earlier that day. And she was in good company after reuniting with sprinter Imani-Lara Lansiquot and heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson at the late night soiree. The Manchester-based runner later reposted a photo of herself alongside her Olympic colleagues, originally shared by Lansiquot with the caption: 'Track girlies absolutely do it best.

The Olympian, who won gold in the 800 metres at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has plenty of time on her hands after confirming a knee injury has prematurely ended her season. She was due to race over 400 metres in Berlin – her first competition since Paris -and was also scheduled to compete at the Diamond League meetings in Zurich and Brussels early next month.

But, she will not race again this year after suffering a minor setback on her return to the track following her short post-Olympics break. Mail Sport understands Hodgkinson has suffered a tear in the outside of her knee, a smaller version of the injury that ruled her out of the indoor season in the winter. 'No more races for me,' she wrote on Instagram.

'Unfortunately, I picked up a small injury but we achieved everything I had hoped to do this year. 'Thank you for all the love and support. See you on the track next year.

' Her coach Jenny Meadows added: 'Disappointed not to finish things off in further style as still the energy and motivation for it, but it's not been a bad season.'
