:Former chief secretary Somesh Kumar is among those who were summoned by the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission of Inquiry probing various aspects of the Kaleshwaram project but is yet to submit his deposition in an affidavit form, it is learnt.

Several other officers, some current and others retired, who too were summoned for questioning, are yet to submit their affidavits as instructed by the Commission, and all these individuals would be sent reminders to do so. It is learnt that Justice Ghose is moving ahead with plans to conduct hearings in the third and fourth week of this month and among those who are expected to be called are former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, who also held the irrigation portfolio in his second term in office during which the problems at the Kaleshwaram project barrages came to light, and T Harish Rao, who held the irrigation portfolio in the BRS government’s first term, the period during which all the new components of the projects, including the barrages at Medigadda, Annaram, Sundilla, and some new pump houses were built.
