Listen to Story In the latest episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’, host Amitabh Bachchan promised contestant Jayanta Duley to construct a toilet at his home and commended him for his efforts to enhance sanitation in his village. Jayanta Duley, a 25-year-old student and part-time tutor from Agai, appeared on the show with his sister, Shikha. After winning the Fastest Finger First round, Jayanta got overwhelmed and hugged his sister.

He revealed his dream of building a bathroom for his mother and sister, highlighting his deep family commitment. “ Meri mummy ko toh aadat ho gaya hai par meri choti behen jab talabo mein nahati hai toh bahut sharamindagi hoti hai ki uska bada bhai ho kar mai uske liye kuch nahi kar sakta. (My mother has gotten used to it, but my younger sister feels very embarrassed when she has to bathe in the fields, knowing that her older brother hasn't done anything to help her),” he said on the show.

A post shared by Sony Entertainment Television (@sonytvofficial) Amitabh, who was touched after listening to his word, said, “Jayanta, aapki baat sun kar dukh hota hai, ashcharya bhi hota hai ki humare Bharat mein kuch sthaan aise bhi hai jahan par jo aam suvidhaaye hai sabke liye vo nahin hain (Jayanta, hearing your words is both distressing and astonishing that in our Bharat (India), there are places where basic amenities are not available to everyone).” He further stated, “ Lekin jo baat aapne kahi ki aapki behen or mata ji ko khule mei nahana padta hai, ye bahut hi dardnaak baat hai, sharamnaak bhi hai. (But what you said about your sister and mother having to bathe in the open, it's a very painful and shameful matter.

)” The veteran actor asked the contestant about the approximate cost required to construct a toilet to which he said, “ 40-50 hazaar mein ho jayega. (approximately 40-50 thousand).” The ‘Sholay’ actor then said, “T oh bhaishaab aaj yahan se nishchint ho kar jayega kyuki aap bhale hi kitna hi jeete ya na jeete.

Hum apni or se dekhenge ki kam se kam aapke ghar mein ek shouchalya aavashya banwaaye. (So, brother, you can leave here today with peace of mind, whether you win or not. We will ensure that at least a toilet is built in your home).
