The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 was a Shukravaar Karamveer Special which was graced by singing sensations Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam, Host Amitabh Bachchan welcomed the two maestros with a beautiful introduction. This episode marks Shreya Ghoshal’s debut on the famed hotseat, and an excited yet nervous Shreya addresses megastar Amitabh Bachchan, saying, “Be it the hot seat or you as the host, this prestigious platform is deeply connected to all our lives. And receiving the opportunity to come on the show today not only makes me feel nervous but excited as well." In an attempt to put her at ease, Mr Bachchan said, “Sonu has been here before and played very well; I was amazed by the way he answered the questions.
Sonu bade guuni aur gyaani hai. If you ever feel stuck, Shreya, then look at Sonu for some inspiration.” Shreya and Sonu are playing the game to support the “Smit Foundation”, an old age home that provides care and assistance to abandoned elderly parents.
They introduce the pillar of support Yojana Gharata who runs the foundation and personally looks after the elderly citizens at Smit foundation . Yojana shares that they have 126 elderly citizens at their old age home and they are physically, mentally, morally and financially dependent on them. The elderly citizens have been abandoned by their families and each one has an emotional story.
Host Amitabh Bachchan praises Yojana and her contribution. He calls her Devi. Big B then resumes the game with Sonu and Shreya Ghoshal.
