Pop star Katy Perry and ex John Mayer seemed to be having a friendly catch-up at a Sabrina Carpenter concert, a decade after their split. The exes were seated close to one another for the gig in Los Angeles on Sunday. Mayer was seated in the row above and behind Perry — who is reportedly "desperate" to return to American Idol after her music comeback failed — as they waited for the show to start.

Mayer also played guitar on It Takes Two from Perry's Prism album. However, the Fireworks singer went on to start a relationship with her now-fiance Orlando Bloom in 2016, with whom she shares daughter Daisy Dove, four. Mayer has previously dated Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson, but has more recently been linked to Kiernan Shipka.

In January, Mayer spoke to Kelly Rizzo on her Comfort Food podcast about his romantic goals: "People don't think I want to be married. I absolutely want to be married." "You know the secret, which is that I'm actually fairly well-adjusted.

And I so badly want to get married if only for my wife to just kno.
