Addressing Katie's recent appearance on Best Magazine's Suddenly Single podcast, the former Loose Women panellist, 64, began by reminiscing on her own fulfilling single years prior to her marriage to Mark, which began 16 years ago. She expressed how much she "loved" the free lifestyle during her adult life and remarked that people in relationships who took issue with it at the time were "probably jealous" of her independence.

Last week's episode of the podcast, hosted by Tim Vincent and Siobhan Wykes, featured guest Katie who candidly discussed the high and low points of her very public romantic history. Following her discussion on the show, Carol, who has previously worked alongside Katie, labelled her "a marriage addict". In her column for the magazine, she wrote: "The first episode saw the pair chatting with Katie Price in my opinion, a relationship and marriage addict who has only been single for three months since the age of 17," reports the Mirror .

"I'm guessing she doesn't particularly like herself, so good job she is going to the Priory regularly to sort that out! Or she will be when she gets back from Turkey with her latest man." Katie, who is a mother to five, has been married three times, firstly to Peter Andre, succeeded by Alex Reid and then Kieran Hayler. She's currently dating Married At First Sight UK contestant JJ Slater, who according to sources close to her, could be her "soulmate".

This isn't the first time Katie has been at the sharp end of Carol's remarks over the years. The broadcaster didn't hold back when she labelled the ITV show "desperate" for bringing Katie on board as a panellist in 2016. Speaking to Woman Magazine, she expressed: "I don't know what she's doing there, but she's got a lot of Twitter followers, and they're desperate for viewers.

I can't believe those women are sitting with her." She went on to question the integrity of the panel, adding: "Where's their self-respect? That's why the show is so different, because they're going for people with a lot of fans." Fast forward three years and Carol also suggested that Katie might just be "the unhappiest woman on the planet" following further cosmetic procedures.

Addressing her readers, the radio host described the sight of Katie post-surgery as "mildly disturbing". Taking aim at Katie's personal life, she continued: "She seems to be addicted to disastrous relationships and marriages. "I wonder how much of it is all done for the sake of having something 'going on' for her never-seen TV show, My Crazy Life.
