The new owner of Kanye West 's former Malibu mansion has criticized the rapper's renovations, calling them "dumb." CEO Bo Belmont, who recently purchased the Tadao Ando-designed home for $21 million, expressed disappointment in West's alterations. "That was a really dumb move.

Really no purpose," Belmont told the Los Angeles Times, referring to West's decision to remove the floors' glazed finish. Luke West bought the 4,000-square-foot beachfront property in 2021 for $57.25 million but never completed his planned renovations. "My goal is to make it as though Kanye was never there.

The house will be restored right back to what it was," Belmont said. The CEO aims to preserve the architectural significance of the home, which was built in 2013 for art collector Richard Sachs. "This is not just a phenomenal real estate investment; it is an opportunity to revitalize and preserve an architectural gem by the renowned Tadao Ando, ensuring it remains a jewel of Malibu," Belmont stated in a press release.

West's renovations were extensive, including the removal of windows, doors, electrical systems, and plumbing. DON'T MISS..
