21 in a matchup between two 3-0 teams. Kansas State is a touchdown road favorite in the betting odds with the total set at 49.5.

5 Moneyline: Kansas State -235, BYU +190 Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbooks Kansas State Wildcats vs. BYU Cougars prediction BYU is a team I thought was a bit undervalued in the betting market heading into the season. I gave out the Cougars as a double-digit underdog against SMU a couple of weeks ago.

BYU is 3-0 with wins over SMU, Wyoming and Southern Illinois but now is stepping up in class Saturday when the Cougars face Kansas State. The Wildcats are coming off a hard-fought road win over Tulane and an impressive blowout over Arizona last Friday night. Quarterback Avery Johnson accounted for 266 total yards and two scores last week, while the Wildcats' defense held the vaunted Arizona offense to 324 yards and 5.

3 yards per play. I have already bet BYU twice this season but it might be time to sell high on the Cougars. BYU's chances in this game will come down to quarterback Jake Retzlaff.

The junior played well against Wyoming but he has a tendency to turn the ball with three interceptions already this season. If the Cougars are going to pull the upset, he will need to protect the ball so BYU can make this an ugly, defensive slugfest. On the defensive side of the ball, it's all about containing Johnson.

The sophomore is one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in college football with 490 passing yards and 187 rushing yards through three games. BYU's defense is the strength of its team. If they can keep Johnson in the pocket and limit his rushing yards, the Cougars' odds of winning go way up.

BYU is a tough place to play and Kansas State is a better team at home. I think this number is right on the money, so I'm going to attack the game another way. Last week I gave out Johnson over 42.

5 rushing yards . This time I think Johnson will rely more on his arm. My favorite play for Kansas State-BYU is Avery Johnson over 1.

5 touchdown passes at +124. He has gone over this total in all three games and I like that trend to continue on Saturday. NFL Week 3 best bets: Will the Saints stay hot? Kansas State Wildcats vs.

BYU Cougars pick Avery Johnson over 1.5 touchdown passes (+124).
