Kangana Ranaut, the ever-controversial actor turned politician, knows how to stir up a storm, and not always for the right reasons. While Vinesh Phogat made history on August 6 by becoming the first Indian female wrestler to reach an Olympic final at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Kangana seized the moment to make headlines once again. Vinesh defeated Cuba's Yusneylys Guzman in a stellar 5-0 semi-final match, setting her up for a gold medal showdown against USA's Sarah Hildebrandt on August 7.

However, amidst the celebrations, Kangana couldn't resist throwing in her two cents. Sharing a picture of Vinesh on her Instagram Stories, she credited the wrestler's success not just to her skill and dedication but to the "great leader" Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In her post, Kangana remarked, "Fingers crossed for India's first Gold Medal.

.. Vinesh Phogat at one point took part in protests where she raised the slogans of 'Modi teri kabr khudegi'.

Yet she was given the opportunity to represent the nation and best of the training, coaches, and facilities. Beauty of democracy and a great leader." In a democracy, even a dimwit like gets to have an opinion.

— Smita (@JaitReJait) Kangana's jab was as sharp as it was ironic, considering Vinesh was a prominent face in the protests against the former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, last year. The wrestler, along with Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik, accused Singh of sexually harassing female wrestlers. Despite the controversy, Vinesh has shown remarkable resilience, securing her place in history with this Olympic feat.
