Kangana Ranaut's directorial debut, Emergency, is getting positive feedback on Netflix India. Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, her directorial debut, didn’t do well at the box office earlier this year. However, it has been receiving positive feedback from viewers after its release on Netflix India.

On Sunday, Kangana shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories in response to fan appreciation. One fan posted, “#EmergencyOnNetflix should go for the Oscars from India. Kangana, what a film.



" Kangana reposted it and wrote, “But America wouldn’t like to acknowledge its real face, how they bully, suppress and arm twist developing nations. It’s been exposed in #emergency. They can keep their silly Oscar.

We have National Awards." Released on January 17, Emergency stars Kangana Ranaut as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Kangana is not just playing the lead in Emergency but has also directed it.

The film explores the 21-month Emergency imposed by Gandhi, from 1975 to 1977, often referred to as the darkest chapter of independent India. Besides Ranaut, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mahima Chaudhry as Pupul Jayakar, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi. Emergency received mixed reviews from all.
